Who said blogging with an active baby is easy?? Well, whoever said it either has never had a baby or never cleans/sleeps/eats!
The last month in review:
-Sean left for WOCS
-Annabelle and I tagged along with Sean's aunt Stacey and uncle Patrick to see Stacey's parents in St. Augustine, Florida; went to the beach, out to eat, shopping, met lots of family, relaxed, were spoiled, had a great time!
-Halle got in a fight. She walked away with a big ol' gash on her face. It healed with the help of a little liquid bandaid, an awesome dog-sitter who visited several times a day to check on her, and I'm sure lots of Sammy kisses.
-Little missy and I drove to Wetumpka, and visited with the Mann's before heading out of Montgomery to Portland.
-Flying with an 8 month old is MUCH different than flying with a 4 month old. (take note) Window seat trumps aisle, I am one of those parents who - before doing anything else upon finding my seat - wipes the seats, walls, tray tables, and arm rests with a baby wipe and I am not ashamed of it, cheerios are sent from God, for the next 5 hour flight I will not be forgetting my neck pillow, flying in the late afternoon/evening is SO much better than the daytime, the next time I get stuck in the middle seat with two large men on either side of me, I will awkwardly make a scene begging and pleading with them to switch me seats, and when the creepy lady with super dark skin and super bright eyes in the row across from us decides to scare the crap out of my daughter by playing a "game" of peek-a-boo, I will tell her to quit instead of fake smiling and telling Annabelle "it's okay", and when Annabelle finally gets quiet and calm, and the lady in front of me decides to pull out a spinning light toy (you know, like the ones you get at Disney land for the parade?), and then refuses to let Annabelle touch it, thus causing a huge meltdown and 30 minutes and me working my butt of to try and keep a squirmy, screamy [above the average size] 8 month old in my arms, and tiny seat, calmish and quietish, I will just take the darn light saber and let Annabelle slobber all over it....and that's that.
-We had SO much fun in Oregon! Annabelle got to spend LOTS of time with her grampy, grammy, uncle Donny, aunt Jaimie, Grampa Tom, Gramma M, and aunt Kelly. We got to visit uncle Jason at church and see him at TC in Portland. We got to visit with WK and MA, baby Leah and Natalie, and it's still so crazy and fun that the three of us had baby girls this year! We got to spend some time with Annabelle's great grandparents, and see lots of aunts and cousins at Jaimies baby shower. We visited with a few friends, and it's always great to see them. It was so nice having my dad there to spend time with Annabelle while I got some things done, had some time to myself, etc, and my mom there to do the same and also get up at ungodly hours with the little missy when she wasn't feeling well and wasn't sleeping. It makes me wish we were closer so they could be there all the time. :(
-Speaking of living closer, we've been talking a lot about where we want to go after Flight school, and we're pretty decided on 3 places. Two of those places would be for a specific unit, and two of those are for location. If Sean ends up doing what he hopes to do, we will likely spend some time in all 3 places, he will be gone a lot, but we will also likely be able to spend an extended amount of time in each one, if we choose. Ft. Campbell may be first for more extensive training and a time there, Ft. Lewis to follow. Ft. Carson is another one on my personal wishlist, but does not have the same opportunities for Sean. Georgia is another likelihood at some point. Italy, Japan, maybe Australia or France are other options....let's not even go there....
- Will write more later... back to baby ;)
